When you choose Jim Walter Homes as your new home builder, you have chosen that piece of mind is an important part of your post-construction life in your home. We are committed to your satisfaction and your confidence in our products, our home construction abilities, and our company. We provide a home warranty with every home we build, and will work with you to resolve any concerns that you may have.*
Our standard new home warranty covers:
- Defects from materials or workmanship for one year from your new home construction's completion.
- Structural defects (our standard is five years, but time period may vary according to state statues).
It does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear items
- Damage due to weather
- Damage due to abusive treatment, such as poor maintenance
- Work not performed by Jim Walter Homes
- Damage that is not timely or properly reported
To make a claim:
If you have a concern with your new home that is covered by your Limited Warranty that we provided to you at the time of sale or, in select states, a warranty provided by state statues, we ask that you provide them to our warranty department in writing.
